Welcome to the Exodus Website.
(This site
is still under construction)
Many ex-prisoners,
who have become Christians during their prison sentence, find it difficult
to become part of an active church fellowship once they are
released. As a result, despite all their best intentions to change
their lives, they often fall into past behaviours and habits that lead
them straight back to prison. They miss the fellowship and Christian
support that they found while inside.
Exodus began in April 2009
as a meeting mainly for ex-offenders, who meet together to worship, study
the Bible, minister to each other and encourage each other along the
way. It is a safe place to share your struggles and receive help to
become a follower of Jesus. There is no pretence and everyone can
just be themselves.
The group meets every
Thursday night at 7.30pm at St. Ninians Community Church Ministry Centre,
45a Borestone Crescent, FK7 9BQ, in Stirling. Some men travel from
as far as Edinburgh and Glasgow just to be there.
